SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Celebrates Tenth Season
BAKERSFIELD, CA - On Christmas Eve the SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series announced its 2010 schedule of events. Founded in 2001, this year will mark the SRL's tenth season of competition.
"2009 was a great year for the SRL, it exceeded our expectations in so many ways and left us very optimistic about the 2010 season," stated the SRL's Larry Collins. "We have great ambitions for this series, and can't wait to continue to build on its successes. With last season being so successful we were careful not to venture too far away from what worked in 2009."
With that said the series will once again have a ten-race schedule and return to all five tracks that hosted the SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series in 2009, with the new addition of Orange Show Speedway in San Bernardino, CA.
"The series is designed to create a balance of venues both geographically and in layout. The series was founded on the short tracks of the northern part of the state which still hosts half of our events, while we venture into the southern region with venues such as Toyota Speedway, Orange Show and The Bullring."
The SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series will begin its tenth season at Roseville's All-American Speedway on March 27th, in a companion event with the NASCAR Camping World West Series.
On April 17th, the series will make its debut at Orange Show Speedway. "The McCray's have been such a pleasure to work with in bringing the SRL to Orange Show...they're a great racing family and appreciate the level of competition the SRL brings to the track."
On May 8th the SRL will make the first of two stops at The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. June 12th the series is slated to return to Stockton 99 Speedway after two successful stops at the newly re-opened track in 2009. The SRL will be part of an early Independence Day Celebration at the Madera Speedway third-mile on Saturday, June 26th. July 17th will see the series back in southern California at Toyota Speedway at Irwindale.
After a mid-summer break, the SRL will make the return trip back to the Irwindale half-mile for their Labor Day Weekend event on September 4th, followed by a second stop at Madera Speedway on September 25th.
The SRL will once again team up with the Camping World West Series at All-American Speedway on October 16th then it will be on to The Bullring for the 2010 SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series Season Finale on October 30th.
For 2010, the SRL will proudly present Spears Manufacturing as the series title sponsor. The SRL will also continue its long-standing relationships with Hoosier Tire and SUNOCO Race Fuel. GoLiveStream.TV and RPMTV will both continue their respective web casting of the SRL events in 2010.
